Thank you so much for answering me so quickly! I’ve asked my father-in-law about his family. His father died when he was young. I was misinformed about him being in the military, but he did spend time over seas as a sewing machine mechanic. He never knew his grandfather and only met his grandmother once. I know his father (Walter Joseph,Sr.) died in Oklahoma, and most of his family lived in Missouri. The only name my father-in law could remember was Frank Rieper- one of his dad’s brothers. I searched through the social security death indexes that I have on CD and found several names from Missouri.Maybe one of these will link up to Germany somehow. I’ll list them for you and I will continue to search the websites you sent to look for any possible connections. My father-in-law said he thought his father had 5 or 6 brothers and sisters. Well, here are their names and dates of birth and death. I haven’t been able to find any family connections between them yet.
